Dog and Cat Grooming
Whilst studying at TAFE after school and deciding vet nursing was not for her, Elisa decided to pursue another animal related care industry where she could use her creative passion and love of animals together. She found dog grooming 16 years ago at The Spoilt Dog Highgate and has never looked back. Since starting grooming she has completed her animal first aid certificate, certificate II in animal care at TAFE and regularly attends and hosts grooming seminars to always keep her skills current. Elisa also frequently competes in grooming competitions both here in SA and interstate and is one of the highest awarded groomers in SA.
She is an all breed stylist and specializes in breed specific styling (including hand stripping), show grooming and also Cat Grooming. |
Casey has been a most wonderful addition to The Spoilt Dog team. She is originally from Cooma in NSW and has been grooming for over 5 years. She, her husband and 2 dogs Shadow the husky x malamute and Zues the poodle X silky moved here to SA in April 2015 and has been helping as second in charge. She has experience in vet clinics and managing the grooming salon in Cooma where she trained. Since moving here she has trained under Elisa to refine her breed grooming and has proved herself a very talented stylist. Casey and Elisa both enjoy cat grooming.
Casey is also an all breeds stylist with a real passion for arctic breeds and hand scissor teddy style grooms. |
Karina started with us in September 2018.
Karina's career was born out of an affinity for animals as far back as she can remember. She has been involved in several different areas of the pet industry over the years from dog training to starting vet nursing as well as owning her own specialty canine nutrition shop but has found that her passion lies in the art of making dogs both beautiful and comfortable - grooming. Karina is relatively new to the grooming industry having been grooming professionally for two years. She joins the team at The Spoilt Dog very excited to learn and hone her skills. Karina enjoys all aspects of grooming but particularly enjoys working with puppies to establish good grooming behavior from an early age through positive reinforcement. She also loves to dabble in colour creative grooming and asian influenced grooming but most importantly loves to bring her clients vision for their dogs and cats look to life. Karina will be under the training and watchful eyes of both Elisa and Casey and we cannot wait to see her blossom. |
